I had an extremely disappointing experience at Hotel Astor Kiel by Campanile. The room was in a shocking state—there was dust thick enough to build a house on the windowsills, and the bathroom was so worn down that it felt unwelcoming and dirty. To make matters worse, the photos displayed on their website showed renovated rooms, but I ended up with an old and dingy room that didn’t even begin to match my expectations.

The room provided a decent amount of space, with large windows giving nice views of the city. The breakfast area on the top floor offered stunning vistas, making morning meals quite special. Staff at check-in were efficient and helpful. the amenities seemed outdated. The bathroom was lacking proper lighting and had maintenance issues, specifically with a leaky shower. Despite the location being fantastic, as it allowed easy access to public transport, the noise from external events was quite disruptive, especially since I could hear late-night partying from my room. there was dust accumulation on surfaces that really needed attention.

I had a fantastic time with my friends, enjoying our spacious room and the easy access to local attractions. We explored the Schwedenkai Ferry Terminal and had a blast at nearby events. Plus, the lounge on the 10th floor was perfect for unwinding after a day out. While breakfast was good, we recommend arriving early for a hassle-free experience.
We faced some noise issues during our stay since a party was happening nearby, and we couldn't switch rooms when we asked for it.
